Dave Van Manen

Since joining MAVERICK, Dave has become well-known for his focus on product quality and good engineering practices — skills that have resulted in numerous occurrences of repeat business. Dave has facilitated the creation of the project execution methodologies (i.e. forms, procedures and work instructions for project-related tasks including project management, project documentation, testing and quality assurance based on concepts from PMI, ISO GAMP, etc.) adopted nationally by MAVERICK.
After an original position as Regional Manager, Dave is now the Director of Life Sciences Practice for MAVERICK, which includes business development, proposal development, project management and project support on pharmaceutical projects nationally. His primary focus is managing the development, documented testing and validation of IA and IT projects within regulated industries. Dave's previous expertise extends across several other industries, including Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Textile and Food & Beverage.
Dave has a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn, and his credentials include Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas and Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and and Certified Automation Professional (CAP) Certification. Dave maintains membership in several professional associations, including ISA, IEEE, PMI and ISPE.
Prior to joining MAVERICK, Dave worked at GE first as an engineer and later as project manager. He also worked at TAVA, a top system integration company, for two years as an Engineering Manager. With his diverse experience with multiple DCS, PLC and HMI applications, Dave approaches every project with the philosophy that discipline, talent and passion lead to customer satisfaction.
Believing that the sign of a well-rounded individual is one who works hard and plays hard, Dave's personal interests include spending time with his family, travel, music, exercise, outdoor/beach activities, college football and snow skiing.
